cement.

cement.

Cement. is a sculptural expression of wearable forms that queer the ideals of process and material. In a sense, these works serve as a visual collage of fiber and hardware; taking what was once a masculinized tools with a stereotypically feminine practice and creating something that does not exist within this spectrum.

As the child of a maker, inspiration is pulled from their father, a diesel mechanic for the Long Island Rail Road and a custom construction business owner. With materials typical of securing train cars together and keeping houses standing, sculptural wears are constructed to generate a new perspective of architecture, shelter, and transport.
